Greetings,

It’s been quite a busy week around here. 2009 is wrapping up, but I am going out with a BANG (or whatever onomatopoeia you find most appropriate). As part of the restructuring of my publishing company Aegis Studios I have incorporated each of my media endeavors into a separate area on the Aegis Studios website.

  • Film: This area of the website is dedicated to the films of Plastic Age Productions, including Skeet Shooting, Jimmy’s Basement and Kept. Here you can see news and updates about my various film projects as well as watch trailers and full films in streaming HD.
  • Games: This section is dedicated to the pen and paper tabletop Roleplaying games published by Aegis Studios including the critically acclaimed Contagion: Revised Edition published under the OGL.
  • Comics: Here you will find various comic book work including the webcomic RECKONING: RE-CUT as well as news about upcoming print and web comic releases.

To commemorate these changes, we have something special in each section to bring in 2010.

First off, we are holding a screening of Jimmy’s Basement on Wednesday, December 30th at 9pm at Kryptonite Bar in Rockford, Illinois. We will be holding a contest at the screening in which attendees can write microreviews via twitter. The best review wins a 25 dollar gift certificate for drinks at Kryptonite!  What better way to ring i the New Year than with free booze? You must be in attendance at the screening in order to win, but don’t fret. If you can’t make it to the screening, you can watch Jimmy’s Basment online for free in its entirety at www.aegisstudios.com/film.html

Follow @kryptonitebar and @TravisLegge on twitter!

To celebrate the relaunch of the Contagion: Revised Edition Roleplaying game, we are running a promotion, in which you can win a free copy of our monster supplement Hell’s Henchmen: Servants of the Barbas via twitter just copy the following text and paste to your twitter:

Contagion RPG! Modern Horror Roleplaying from @TravisLegge http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/index.php?cPath=4012 #roleplaying

I will then send you a message requesting your email address, so I can email you a coupon to download a free copy of Hell’s Henchmen: Servants of the Barbas from DrivethruRPG

Lastly, we have launched the RECKONING: RE-CUT webcomic, which will be updating Monday-Friday at Midnight EST. You can comment on the comic, vote for it at Top 100 Webcomics, and we will be announcing a RECKONING: RE-CUT based contest very soon! In the meantime, read the comic, vote us up onto the top 100 and enjoy the bloody tale of Love, Loss, and Revenge!

These new and exciting changes are just the beginning! 2010 will be an astonishing year for Aegis Studios as I am now in preproduction for my first feature film, I am preparing all-new supplements for Contagion, I’m bringing together elements for the RECKONING: ULTIMATE CUT Trade Paperback, preparing for a relaunch of Corpus Christie and the Cape Girls, and developing ALL-NEW films, games, and comics to be announced in the new year!

Thank you and have a Happy New Year!

Travis

Hey all,

I’ve just spent the majority of the past two days working my little fingers off on the Aegis Studios website! I’m pretty proud of it, and I’d love to hear your thoughts/feedback.

To commemorate this restart, I’m going to run a little contest. I will send a free download coupon for the Contagion RPG supplement Hell’s Henchmen: Servants of The Barbas to the first 100 people who tweet this:

Contagion RPG! Modern Horror Roleplaying from @TravisLegge http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/index.php?cPath=4012 #roleplaying

just copy and paste the little 122 character blurb above, post it to your twitter, and I will happily send you a download coupon to download Hell’s Henchmen: Servants of The Barbas for FREE from DrivethruRPG!

Not familiar with the Contagion Roleplaying Game?

By all means, check it out at: http://www.aegisstudios.com/contagion.html

Speaking of twitter contests, don’t forget that we are holding a screening of Jimmy’s Basement at Kryptonite Bar in Rockford on Wednesday, DEC 30th at 9pm! There will be a twitter based contest there as well, in which you can win a 25 dollar gift certificate! FREE BOOZE! You gotta come to the screening to win!

Thanks and have a Happy New Year!

…well, not really. More like working on the website.

2009 was a productive year. I filmed four short films, wrote my first feature, made leaps and bounds toward completing my tech certificate at Rock Valley College, and managed to dodge a nervous breakdown.

2010 is gonna blow it out of the water.

In January I will begin holding auditions for my first feature film. Raymond Did It is a slasher film about tragedy, death, and revenge. When twelve year old Bryce Rourke is accidentally killed during a fight with one of his friends, the group of tweens decides to blame the death on Bryce’s mentally retarded older brother, Raymond. In lieu of prison, Raymond is sent to a state run mental hospital. Six years later, Raymond escapes to seek revenge for his brother’s death.

A list of available roles can be found at http://www.aegisstudios.com/casting.html

Parties interested in auditioning for any role should contact me via email at raymondddidit@gmail.com

Other planned projects for 2010 include a return to comic books with the release of the long-awaited RECKONING: ULTIMATE CUT trade paperback, as well as ALL-NEW issues of Corpus Christie and the Cape Girls. In the meantime, you can check out RECKONING and Corpus Christie in their original format on WOWIO

Also in 2010, we will be relaunching the CONTAGION RPG in full force, with the classic Contagion: Revised Edition back online at DrivethruRPG.com More supplements will be made available in the coming weeks!

More soon!

Have a Happy New Year!

People keep telling me I need to get off of myspace and get an external blog. Fine. Here we are. At my very own blog on aegisstudios.net. This is where you will find the most informative and current updates about the film, comic, and gaming projects from Aegis Studios. Enjoy.
